There is an arcade that i go to that has a DK machine combined
With Jr and something else. When you die the last time it allows you to add a quarter and keep on going. This is great practice for me because i usually only have a 1 or so lives by lvl 5 so i don’t get much practice on the harder spring boards plus i don’t have to get paranoid because i’m almost out of lives.
Anyway i have a DK machine at home. Is there a way for me to get my machine to play this way?
I know the scores mean nothing doing this but great practice!
Thanks

I'm don't know about that but a mame emulator on your computer can be a great practice tool.

Ya i might have to go the Mame route. I was just hoping i could install a chip on my arcade machine.
Thanks for the reply

Is there a name for the ROMset that behaves like this? It would be useful for us newbies.

I think this thread has what you are looking for.

Or you could create save states at the beginning of the boards you need to practice.

That looks just the trick, thanks!
