Title: What do you use to record/stream from your cabinet?
Post by: Resyk on December 13, 2016, 02:10:34 pm
I recently bought a DK cabinet and am interested in recording my gameplay to use as a learning tool and am also looking forward to streaming in the near future. I wanted to get the communities input as to what equipment they use to record/stream from your cabinet.

I was able to put together a nice mount that takes advantage of the "upper marquee retainer" screw holes (There's 4 of them on top).  It can be constructed with around the house items; I needed a 2x4xX, some nails, a screw, an old lamp and a hammer. I'm using the faux-metal body, Microsoft Lifecam, connected to the end of the lamp neck.  The lamp neck is adjustable and removable from the mount, which is great for verification of the cabinet and control panel after a score.  Theres little rubber feet that rest against the marquee, holding the weight, but preventing damage to the marquee_D

:)

A very inexpensive option, with some $3 clamps from Home Depot:

Kinda hard to see, but I use a clamp (I have one homemade and one webcam clamp from Amazon). Sometimes I use a little (or a lot) of painters tape to stabilize the camera so it doesn't shake. The home made mount was made out of one of those snake lamp clips - I removed the lamp and stuck a webcam on there. It is much more stable than the Amazon bought camera mount.
