Are you pulling in people who don't have DKF accounts, like Jerky?  He's on RU.  I can pass along info to him if need be.

Everyone on the team currently has a DKF account and has access to this sub-forum, with the exception of Krogman. He doesn't seem to have an account here.  <confused> So, all people need to do is log on to DKF to access/read/discuss the IGBY stuff.

If you haven't already, I recommend downloading WolfMAME 0.175 and getting a feel for it:

https://github.com/mahlemiut/wolfmame/releases/tag/wolf175 (https://github.com/mahlemiut/wolfmame/releases/tag/wolf175)

Download the 7z zip archive on that page and unzip it into any folder to install.

Acceptable platforms for this competition are WolfMAME 0.106, WolfMAME 0.175, and Retro Uprising...however, not all the games work appropriately in 106 or RU (I know the games list).

Is there going to be a download for all of the applicable ROMs?

I'll be tracking our progress in a fancy spreadsheet:

IGBY 2016 DKF Scoreboard (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hubO-nZJdtXTYvdvBz4mgc6_kf-E3Cpr2vUFuJI9baE/edit?usp=sharing)

"DKF Top 8" tab is a breakdown of our top 8 scores on each game, color-coded to show our strongest (green) to weakest (red) games. The "Team Standings" tab is another breakdown of our points per game, plus a small comparison of all the teams. I plan to update it several times a day throughout the contest. Let me know if you want any other information. It's pretty useless this early on, but it's there for those that are interested.

We're a few hours away from the halfway point in the tourney. As of this post, Team DKF is in 2nd place behind MARP, trailing by 242 points. We have 8 submissions on each game and so far we're the only team that does. This means MARP will pull ahead even more if they fill out their scoreboard on their remaining games (MK, Pandora's, Paperboy). Worst case scenario, they could pull ahead by 508 points. That's truly worst case...they would need to get the maximum points with their remaining 5 slots. They could definitely push it over 400 though.

So, let's go good I reckon...and everything or whatever.

Dinos
1943 Kai
SF2
Metamorphic Morphing Beast Force

I'll be rampaging through the scoreboard over the next two weeks.  I've only submitted 3 scores so far, but I promise that will change in the near future.

I'm also paying a visit to Kasper tonight to make sure he is equipped with the proper MAME and all the necessary roms, so expect more participation from him as well.

We ain't out of it yet.  Let's finish strong, mates.

If we can get a few more people to submit just 5-6 games, that'd help.  I've got some time tomorrow, but then I'm out for a few days.  There's still over 2 weeks left - that's more than enough time.  I'm probably laying low on games like Pandora and Big Kong until closer to the end.  Not sandbagging, but also not going to beat someone by 10k and giving them motivation to play again right now.  We CAN do this!

XELNIA - you're the data guru.  Maybe you can fix up a table to show the games we can make the most up vs. MARP, or the ones where it might be bordering on futile.  I think it's still a little early, but when there's a week or so left, it'd be nice to have a more targeted list of games where we can more easily add points to DKF while at the same time taking points from MARP.

Thanks but playing catch-up big time!

I have been aiming for games where we have low bottom scores today : Block Out and Ketsui for starters. If I can get top 8 scores in the 30's AND push off our lowest sub 20's scores it makes for a decent point gain without having to go after the highest score in the tournament on that title.

These are just starter scores for now. As long as I hit 30 points or so and knock off a 20 point or less score we get a little point gain and I move on to the next game + repeat. After I run out of games with low scores I will try to go back and up my current scores. I know I can get 2 million+ on 1943 Kai but its just a matter of how much time I have free this week. If I can get in my ""Cave" groove I can do much better on Ketsui too, but those bullet hell shooters take time to dial in.

Block Out and Ketsui scores will have to do for now. Next up for me is Metal Slug...

Jerky - make sure you don't have NVRAM issues if you're doing Slug via MAME, a lot of people have.  You can play on RU with no issues, FYI.  Just no pausing.

As of this post we're 167 points behind MARP, and they still have one empty slot in Paperboy. Worst case scenario they could push that lead to 220 if they get the #2 spot in Paperboy and nothing else changes. Gaining 10 points per game puts us ahead of them in the current situation, 13 points per game puts us ahead in the worst-case-paper scenario.

One week left mates.  Time to grind like crazy.

We'll be losing a bunch of players to the Kong Off as well, so those of us still fighting need to go extra hard.

Go good, sirs.

Go go go mates!!

122 points behind MARP right now

Personally I've got a 1.2m+ Metal Slug and a 50k+ Armored Car in me, not sure other than that. Possibly 200 on Metamorphic fuckheads. I'd grind 100k on Millipede if I had to as well. C&D's I can push above 1m with a change in strategy and some luck (not taking the car on stage 3 and killing all 4 dynamite dudes for 300k+)

Wheres Kasper!? <popcorn>

:)

Need some help...

I can no longer submit anything to TG due to some unknown bug that just came up. I have been trying to upload a 2,000,000 point game of Metal Slug to the IGBY tourney site but no matter what I do every time I try it hangs up after I hit submit and the upload never completes. I have tried different internet, rebooting, different browsers, renaming the files, you name it. The submit icon just goes round and round and never finishes. It's not that big a file either.

All my past uploads worked no problem until around 2am last night and ever since nothing goes through. Clearly other submissions are working since then so I don't know what to do. It feels like something is wrong with the site or my account at this point after eliminating everything on my end I could think of.

Pretty bummed because this score was a pain to get and then it won't submit. I've got some serious gremlins and then some.  already PM's Wes Copeland but it's too soon to hear back yet. I also have 24 hours to submit to avoid the sandbagging rule.

Any ideas?
