Announcing the KL/CAGT Game of the Month for June:    DK: On the Run

Presented by Kong League and hosted by www.CAGTournaments.com DK: On the Run is a new twist on an old classic. So grab your badge, your donuts, and even some loot and get to saving Pauline!  This tournament is open to all players of any skill level.

Settings: Lives-3, Bonus Life-7,000 (These are the default settings and needn't be changed.)

Submissions Rules: All versions of Wolfmame .106 and up are acceptable for inp submissions. Any other version of Mame is fine, but it MUST include a publicly available stream highlight link to your claimed score that shows the entire process of starting, crediting up and entering your initials. Please choose the appropriate Mame version in the comment field to specify your version and include the wolfmame version number in your inp zip file name whenever possible.

2nd: $10 USD + (1) KL Silver Tier Subscription
3rd: KL Silver Tier Subscription

Today is June 16th so we are just past the halfway point of the June Game of the Month Social Tournament. Right now Justin Elliot (rayfinkel) leads with a strong 738,300. We want to emphasize that there is a Cash Bounty for the first player to reach the Kill Screen in this game. $50 for the Kill Screen + an additional $50 if the game is being streamed live + an additional $25 per man in reserve after reaching level 21. This is a very tough game but we believe someone will manage to claim this bounty.

The Kong League Game of the Month: DK: On the Run is complete and what a challenge it was. No player was able to claim the bounty for getting a Kill Screen in this new test of Donkey Kong acumen. Overall, 24 competitors tried their hand at this unique format and there were quite a few deep runs in the tournament.

We are proud to announce the winner of the DK: On the Run tournament is rayfinkel! Painstakingly avoiding all sabotage, rayfinkel threw down a score of 738,300 that was a full 100k more than anyone else could manage. He also lost his last man on Level 21-4, leaving him just 2 full stages short of capturing the Kill Screen Bounty.
