John McCurdy sets new D2K World Record! 450,300!

John has been destroying this game lately, and now he's set the highest known score to date! Congratulations, sir. Can't wait to see how far you take it.

This game has been submitted at TG and MARP for those who wish to watch (which is everybody <mad>).

I figured a month would be a sufficient amount of time to let this thread cool off before thanking the vast multitude of D2K fans out there.  I’m just glad I made it in here before it got locked, for it was getting a little out of hand.  Can you just imagine if it were sky or the calf who hit this score?...the thread would be 14 rows deep up into the nosebleeds by now!  Kappa

All kiddin’ aside, I happen to like the game somewhat.  It has a nice flow, the board designs are pretty neat, and it’s not the easiest game in the world, which is something I enjoy on a personal level.  Sure, there are some oddities (an irretrievable prize, Level 14 vators, "slow gameplay", etc.), but what game doesn’t have its quirks?  And who cares if the guy who made it was trying to make a quick buck by capitalizing on the DK fame of the day?  That’s just bog-standard business, my friend.

Well, D2K, though short-lived, the romance was fun; but it looks like the tribe has spoken...so it’s back to the cesspit...smell ya later.

There is actually a D2K badge but I'm unsure whether its only for the Arcade version (syscrusher Aka Ben Falls currently has the arcade WR and the badge)

I’m such a dummy!  You totally reminded me that I have a neighbor down the street who actually grows D2K machines in his organic fantasy garden in his side yard; I think he may even have some young unicorns sprouting up around this time, too. Maybe if I tell him that it’s 2016 and I’m goin’ for a high score, he’ll give me a machine... Kappa

Other games have MAME WR badges on here, so why no love for D2K?  Do you have a problem with cesspit dwellers, Mr. Harrist? Kappa
