I'll just leave this video here. I think it's pretty huge for top line point pressing.

You already knew what to do when he started the cycle to the left of the broken ladder: wait on the right side of that and leech him a few times after he comes up, making sure to abort if the barrel spacing would force you to be mid-air when he's reaching the top. Same caveats apply to this, but I don't think anyone realized there was enough room there next to the short ladder to be on his level and force the freeze.
