Hello everyone!
Richie has asked me to help out in determining how the top 10 players should be selected for the KO 4. We have a strict deadline of Wednesday night April 1st to determine this (2 days). I have decided just to do a simple vote and to use the opinion of the DKF (since of course we are the center of the DK universe). If you have another suggestion please comment below.
IMPORTANT: Anyone who could be in the top 10 and cannot make the event, please let Richie and myself know in writing ASAP.
Also, Richie would like someones help in collecting the top 10 player pics, bios, etc. Anyone who is interested and can lend a hand please contact Richie ASAP. Richie is working on getting the contest website updated ASAP.
Note: Both Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell are already in.

After the method for top 10 is determined, is there a cut-off date determined yet for making the top 10? Or is April 1 the actual cut off date for who the players are?
Second, whoever is gathering info should also pick up alternates given that top 10 may shift around before then.

Arcade and MAME scores
A no-brainer in my opinion.

I thought this was already decided. Jeff was picking the top 10 and he referenced the top of the page. Eric was picking the wildcards and that was what the DKO's were for. We just need to know how many spots are available and if there are any walk up cabs. After that just run down the list and see who is going. ;D
RKI made a decision earlier this year to let Jeff and the DK Community decide who the top 12 should be.
I also handed Eric Tessler the reigns deciding the wild card bracket.
right now would be :
1 1,206,800 Dean Saglio
2 1,144,800 Robbie Lakeman
3 1,138,600 Hank Chien
4 1,137,500 Mark Kiehl
5 1,136,500 Ross Benziger
6 1,135,900 Vince Lemay
7 1,121,600 Wes Copeland
8 1,107,600 Jeff Willms
9 1,103,700 Jeff Wolfe
10 1,100,700 Steve Wiltshire
Plus ?? number of wildcards:
1 8) Robbie Lakeman 1,108,500
2 8) Dean Saglio 1,103,700
3 Dave McCrary 1,091,400
4 8) Ross Benziger 1,067,700
5 8) Jeff Wolfe 1,062,700
6 Phil Tudose 1,047,600
7 8) Wes Copeland 1,045,200
8 Ethan Daniels 1,041,100
9 Corey Chambers 1,029,100
10 8) Steve Wiltshire 1,021,600
11 8) Vincent Lemay 1,008,200
12 Jason Wade 972,100
13 Eric Tessler 968,700
14 Mike Groesbeck 953,800
15 Mick Winzeler 948,400
16 Andrew Gardikis 946,900
17 Timothy Sczerby 941,500
18 Chris Psaros 925,600
19 Ben Falls 913,400
20 Jonathon McCourt 912,500

Wow, I am pro Arcade plus MAME, but I had no clue that the support for it was this strong. Very happy to see. 8)

We want to get an official vote to see what people think 8)
I will try and find out about cut off dates and such.
-
Note: Both Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell are already in and will have their own dedicated machines.
What's the format? I'm so confused...
What was the point of the DKOOs?
-
The format will be up to Richie...details coming soon.
The DKOs are used to determine the wildcard players.
-
Yeah the cutoff for me getting in the top 10 would be nice to know. I'll start grinding now but when is it? Usually it's about 60 - 45 days prior or so so I would assume you have until say June 1 or jun 15

How do dedicated machines factor into a bracket-style tournament?
-
Being asked to vote on arcade only verses arcade and mame this year sure beats the not being asked and having a song written about it last year. I voted arcade and mame.

The dedicated machine statement was my typo and I updated the original post. Richie will announce the contest format at some point.

The KO 4 cut off date to make the top 10 is June 30, 2015.

The KO 4 cut off date to make the top 10 is June 30, 2015.
I'm in 6th spot right now, but as unlucky as I am, I'm sure Wes, Jeff Willms, Jeff Wolfe, Steve Wiltshire and Dave Mccrary will squeeze between me and Hank, just like everyboddy seems to do and I'll end up in 11th Kappa
Joke aside, good luck to those that wanna make it to top 10! 3 months left exactly!

The KO 4 cut off date to make the top 10 is June 30, 2015.
I need to get busy again if I want to make this date.
Jeff Harrist....Could we slip a countdown timer on the main page for KO4 qualification deadline? I mean only if it's easy, if not, no biggie.
