Viewing Twitch on Mobile Devices
« on: May 22, 2013, 06:57:53 pm »
Hi all,

I'm curious if anyone has found an acceptable method of viewing and chatting on our DK streams with mobile devices. I have an Android phone (Galaxy Note II) which doesn't support Flash. While it seems I can watch old videos on a Twitch page, I can't watch a live stream. Twitch's Android app is useless, unless I want to watch Starcraft all the f***ing time.

So, what solutions/devices are people using out there?

Thanks!

On the iPhone 4S with the latest updates I can watch streams but not chat,
The problem is the following selection shows up nothing,
So I am unable to find anyone's channel unless they can get about 100 viewers.
Dk PB 391800
Dk jr PB 42000
CK 481400 lvl 19-1

For android I have JTV launcher which works pretty good, but I see now that isn't available but JTV Game Channel is...give that a try.

Edit: It's still available, it's called JTV Launcher Widget.

About a year ago the Twitch app for iPhone worked well.  It sometimes took a couple trys to get the stream to load, but once it got rolling the video and chat worked usually.  Sometimes the chat wouldn't load, but video would...and other times it was vice-versa.

Flash forward a few months, and all of a sudden the Twitch app didn't work at all.  Every stream would completely freeze my phone.

Flash forward to today, and now the app works great...but only for the major stream channels...like Starcraft and League of Legends players...it won't work for any of the DK players I follow...and I have no idea why.

The DKF streamers page works great on my Android phone even though regular Twitch pages will not load video.

None of the apps worked for me either.

Which mobile browser are you using? I found the Streamie app and that actually works great, so I'll probably keep using it if I don't get the streaming page to work.

I honestly don't even know. It's whatever comes stock on an LG Thrill.
