McManus is a real last name!

Saw this article, and the writer has the last name of McManus.  So yes indeed, this last name does exist!

There's also Jim McManus...famous for calling down in a LHE WSOP event with a Jack high (Queen high really).

PWNASAURUS, I have been looking for that clip for a long time... That was BY FAR the best final table in WSOP history. That broadcast is hilarious and powers has some real style . that guy is awesome lol.

Ah yea I loved that final table.  I wasn't a huge fan of Ellix and how he handled himself at the table...but with that much money on the line you've got to do your thing and play every angle possible to give yourself an edge...if that means rubbing a couple people the wrong way so be it...but then don't be surprised if you don't have a bunch of new poker friends afterwards.

Televised poker needs the personalities like Tony G. to appeal to casual viewers/players I would think.  I could watch someone like Phil Galfond play ring games all day long but I assume HSP  on GSN must not have kept up the ratings necessary.  That's a shame.  I do love me some Tony G. though, reminds me of my buddy Craig who numerous times while playing at b&m casinos up and down Atlantic City, has been threatened physically after similar displays.  Love it.

Oh man I remember that one too.  I think Tony G kinda got lucky there because there's no way he wanted a call (any ace is usually good 4 handed, but I still don't think he wanted a call).  He had ace rag, suited, but big deal, and he was trying to get Perry to fold with his all-in.  The 2 seconds from where Tony flipped up his cards, until he saw Perry's cards, Tony felt like an idiot...but after he saw he was ahead, he started yapping again.  My amateur analysis.
