Kongratulations, Steve!

I need to take a more academic approach to improving my game.  It would be nice to join this exclusive 1M+ club, if only to attend the year-end banquet.  I've heard the all-you-can-eat buffet is spectacular.

Thanks everybody.  I really appreciate it.  I actually started the game at a very slow pace from my normal pace.  I lost my 1st and 2nd man both on the level 8 rivets and got practically no points from those two deaths.  I had been playing earlier in the day and was burnt out, but during this game I pretty much zoned out and could feel that I was playing well other than just dumb luck with those fireballs on level 8.  I wasn't doing well on the springs for some reason all game either, had a very slow rate on springs.  In the end, I made it to level 21 rivets before killing off my extra man, and then kill screened it.  I made the mistake of not killing the extra man off on the last barrel board due to just the excitement of finally hitting the million.  I have been very close several times since ko2, but just couldn't seem to finish the game.  I think mental blocks and focus have been my biggest enemy.  Hopefully I have it figured out and can now start playing more relaxed and aggressive for a 1.1 pace.  Thanks again everybody.  It is a relief for ko3.

To be honest, I don't think 1 million is going to cut it for the KO3.  My guess is they will up the limit to 1.05 million.  Big time congrats on the million point score.  Awesome to see another person flip Donkey Kong.

Edit: Remember the bar was set at 900,000 for KO1, and than raised to 1 million for KO2, and so them raising the bar to at least 1.05 million for the KO3 should be expected.

For the record, at this point, 1,050 would limit the "dedicated" field to 7 players: Dean, Hank, Vincent, Jeff, Steve, Billy and Mark.

I wonder if that number will grow by November?

In any case, the threshold can't be raised to a point that would exclude Steve or Billy, obviously.

I would need something to shoot for. I hope to be over 1.1M by then and if I'm not at least over 1.05M, I probably wouldn't want to be in KO3 anyway. And I'm sure others want something to drive them to do it also.

Congrats on the great score Steve!

I don't think the 1.05 mark will be cutoff.  I think just the top 12 or so scores will be in.  Dave, even if you're not at 1.05 by then, remember that anybody in the ko3 could win it.  Just having a great score going in doesn't solidfy your chances.  For Jeff and Dean to score what they did at ko2 was unreal and very impressive.  Odd's are that those high of scores don't happen again, and so everybody in it will have a chance.  Granted, some of the guys seem to be more consistantly hitting high #'s, but that's why they play the game, just like in the NFL.  Even the KC Chiefs win sometime.  lol.  It's all for fun anyway.  Now I don't know if I would go to play in the wildcard again.  I thought that was frustrating having to wait for 5-6 hours before my next turn.  We'll just have to wait and see what happens between now and them.  Until then, keep gaming.
