This will be interesting.

Voted for The Rivet Stage. Still the hardest stage imo but I really like to practice this stage so that's why I picked it as my fav.
-
I went with the barrel stages, Mitch, primarily because it affords the opportunity to generate such a wide range of scores on a single screen. I personally don't believe any other stage grants the player as much freedom of imagination and creativity.
I'm not a big fan of the rivet stages, particularly the induced frustration during serious games, but if I'm just fooling around, freestyling it due to a pattern breakdown can be a fun exercise.
By the way, has "freestyle" been added to the list of DK terms yet?

Post it in that thread for me so I remember to add it when I have the time. I'll probably do some more adding to it later today. :)

Done.

Yeah, I went with rivet stage. It's the one stage that will make you think big time no matter how you play it. I really like it when I survive when 3 or 4 fireballs are on top of me. It's also the only stage I actually feel like I compare favorably to the killscreeners of the game. Every other stage I am nowhere near their league, especially the elevator stage.

When you point press, barrel can either be your favorite screen, or your least favorite screen.
Personally, even if this screen is absolutely painful when you point press, it's still by far my favorite. Point pressing on a barrel screen is awesome! You can't point press as efficiently on other screens. I love grouping barrels, figuring how to avoid/jump over certain barrel combinations, avoid the fireball, etc. And I love the fact that you can steer barrel (if you couldn't steer barrels, this screen would be boring!).
-
I went with the elevators. I like not really having to deal with fireballs it's kind of like a break from the randomness. But dying on those is the worst feeling ever.
-
As of yet, no pie factory love? How sad.

Someone recruit Steve Wiebe to this website! He's the only one who actually likes the conveyors.
I like them too. Sometimes. When they don't screw me over. When they do, I get angry. Very angry. Thankfully, I stopped losing as many lives on conveyors as I used to, but they used to account for almost all of my deaths.

Rivets by a mile, and I don't even have a second place!
I love the rivets. It has a depth and complexity and subtlety to it that the other screens don't. I like having to think my way through all the different situations that come up.
In fact, the main reason I like no-hammer and Crazy Kong is because those games are mainly about the rivets.
-
Yeah, I do agree with Chris about loving the rivets on a no-hammer run. Even if the rivet screen is SO random on a no hammer, it is always very difficult to finish the board, and every time, you need to play freestyle, depending on the randomness. A rivet screen is never the same on a no hammer, you definitely never know what to expect!

I voted pie factory. Always been my favorite since the 80's.
-
Barrel stage is the most fun for me so that is the one I decided on.
-
I went with the rivets, it just has the most paths to success or death. No hammer rivets is freestyle paradise.
-
I don't know if "paradise" is the word I'd use...
-
Barrel stage = classic.

No friggen stage is good for me shit game.lol
