Awesome, one more for 2013!
It seemed like very recently where you were stuck in the 150K range, then you broke out to 300-400K, and wow, now this.
The screen shot will not be good enough for the official high score list (unfortunately), but my Kill Screener Timeline is looser about rules so I will put you on it!

Thanks all! Didn't sleep that good tonight. Saw barrels everywhere..
Little about the game then. 2 kills at the cement factory (my nemesis lvl) and amazingly 1 death at the spring. That was ages ago I missed there. Zero kills on barrels and rivets which really amazes me. Always miss at the barrels. The only thing I altered however was that I took more attention to kong just after I came up on the 4:th girder.
When jumping/avoiding some barrels I always get hit by his wild barrel that goes a little right of the long ladder. Waited him out this time with great result. Got very Lucky with the randomness of the rivets. I think the lowest timer I'd ever get was around 1500 so I can't complain. Same goes with the cement factory. Apart from the deaths (one zero timer and one ankle biter) the game allowed me to take the right path almost every time from lvl 14 and beyond.
Been playing for years. Don't remember why I started to play again. Maybe because I found this forum and got Swedens only DK cabinet so far?
Anyway, was stuck with the spring lvl since 2010 and couldn't for my life understand how to solve it. But 300 savestates later I did. This was july/august this year I think. Jumped from 169k to 330k in an instant. Got a 549k score a month later and then it halted. 150-200k all the time. Experimented with the no hammer strategy since I always died from a wild barrel drop on girder 4 with almost no success. Went back to the top hammer. 619k was done. My average jumped to 300-400k every time. Felt for the first time that a KS could be made. Took a month's break. Played 4 games yesterday and 3 of them really sucked. The 4:th is history. The only thing I regret is that it was on mame. I have Swedens only DK cabinet but I'm working in Norway
doing nothing so Iplay alot of classic games here + Cave shoot em ups.
I really don't know what to do next. Record it? Bottom hammer? Go for the mill? I'll think about it. The primary mission is done so I don't know. It doesn't really care that there is "no proof". I know what I've done and I'm satisfied with it.

I would always recommend, to anyone who just got their first kill screen, that the first thing you should do is to try to do it again and see how long it takes.
Without naming names, there are people who have killscreened DK who took a big jump in their score to do it, but since they did it, have never come close to doing it again. Not that their kill screen was necessarily a fluke, but it was perhaps out of the ordinary and came earlier than it reasonably should have.
So I say, work on your consistency! Consistency is an underrated ability in this game (compared to point pressing). When you kill screen for a second or third time, that's when you know you've really got it down.

This is exactly what I'd think about my first 549k score. So many 150-200k, a few 300k and only one +500k for months? Was it sheer luck?
But when I finally broke it with 619k Things changed. Got a few 500k scores and I felt for the first time that a KS is reachable. I'll take a short pause from DK now and see how I feel about everything.

Congratulations on your first killscreen, Christer!
The size of a recorded INP file (for 90 minutes of gameplay) will be close to 40 MB. If you're using WolfMAME 0.106, you should zip the INP and WLF files together. The resulting compressed archive should be less than 200 KB.
Once your zipped archive is ready, you can submit your score to MARP, Twin Galaxies (eventually), or another online scorekeeping entity.
If you wish to be included in our forum's Donkey Kong High Score List (https://donkeykongforum.net/index.php?topic=366.0), simply post a reply in the Score Submissions (https://donkeykongforum.net/index.php?topic=364.0) thread. Include the relevant information (name, final score, date achieved), and attach your ZIP file.

Thanks for the info regarding the wolfmame. Did a lvl 10 run now and it was 17 Mb so 40 Mb sounds accurate.
Must also add that there is another aspect to the whole thing now. I play and feel much more relaxed now after the KS. I knew though that this would come since I felt the same after the j.r KS.

We're about the same as I got my first kill screen with a score of 867k. I am going for 105-110k starts and alternate pressing. First and second men are for pressing and the other two men will be in survival mode. After that I'm gonna go for the million unless I get a really good first and second man then I might press the whole game.

Yeah. We're really close. However, after the KS I suck at this. Haven't really played that much but only one +600k game out of 15 or so, tries. Will still play some games though but stop playing some weeks before the online open. Then I'll be hungry again and hopefully get some good scores. Or not.. >:(

Better than me lately. I've just had a few 300k games all point pressing games though.
