No, French food, as it stands alone, didn't even make my list, but of course French influence is present in just about every type of cuisine, including my #1 favorite, Cajun.

In all seriousness though, I tried to make a list and realized that the only cuisines that I am intimately familiar with are Mexican food and possibly Hawaiian food. One of my favorite foods is Hungarian goulash/gulyás but that's the only Hungarian dish I really know. I can imagine that I would love chicken paprikash but I've never had it. All this is to say that it wouldn't be fair for me to say that Hungarian cuisine is in my top 10 just for one dish. Chinese food is so varied: Cantonese vs Sichuan being a prime example. The same with American food. But, if I were to make some serious generalizations about regional cuisine I guess my list would look like this:
1. Mexican
2. Thai and other Southeast Asian cuisines, especially Vietnamese
3. American (including family recipes that are based on other cuisines)
4. Italian
5. Cajun / Creole
6. German / Austrian
7. Traditional Hawaiian (things like kalua pig and fresh seafood, not loco moco and mac salad)
8. Japanese
9. Hungarian
10. Chinese

Italian doesn't make the cut. There are a few italian dishes I like but in general I don't really like tomatoes, seafood and pasta that's not stuffed with meat or cheese.
I like Chinese/Japanese food as well but consider Thai, Korean and Cambodian the top asian cuisines.
BBQ #1...smoked meats are the best.

Mmm... BBQ. Also, good mention of Caribbean food - that's some good stuff.
Jry, the only Hawaiian food I've ever had included mac salad, and it was delicious ;D
Maybe I just like all food.

I can agree with all that. I find it odd that Italian is so popular, I think it's way overrated. I usually go Korean as the best - they know how to lay out a table of food, aren't afraid of spice and can rock both meat and veggies. Kreygasm
But, yeah I like lots of kinds of food, preferably in large quantities.

As I was a chef for years I'm going to go with
1-10 = anything someone else is cooking so I don't have to :)

Oh, I love the Mac salad, especially the potato-mac salad. I just meant I enjoy the old school Hawaiian food even more and that's what I really identify as Hawaiian food. The fusion stuff is more American, in my opinion...at least loco moco and mac salad.

I'll include American, Thai, Spanish, and Chilean as honorable mentions, but I can't solidify the rankings.

Minnesota is a potpourri of ethnicities, so there's a lot to choose from around my part of the world. One option that is very good (in my experience) that no one has yet to mention is Mongolian. Just delicious. Try it if you haven't.
Now I'm hungry!

Any one of these could move around several spots...pretty loose ordering. Today I will eat pad thai, saag paneer, pulled pork shoulder, stuffed cabbage and pierogi, beef lo mein, steak burrito, bulgogi, Italian sub, schnitzel, and a burger. Kappa Forgot about Jewish Deli too...throw a corned beef/pastrami sammich with spicy mustard in there too.

Yeah we were very sad when they closed the one a few blocks from my work.
