Well, here we go......
I just wanted keep track of my progression on a few games. I'm definitely not new to most of these games, but some of them I haven't played much. So here is a list of goals for each game and my PB:
Zookeeper - PB 384,750 Goal is 1,000,000
I'm really enjoying this game. The fast pace definitely keeps my interest.
Bosconian - PB 647,500 Goal is 1,000,000+
I played this a lot BITD and recently picked it back up on MAME.
Elevator Action - PB 100,850. Goal is 100K
Another classic that I loved BITD. I suck at this one. I have a cab coming this weekend so it will be nice to practice on the real thing.
Moon Patrol - PB 307,750 Goal is 1,000,000 lo
I haven't plated this much at all but extremely fun.
Kicker - 50,000,000 Goal is WR 46,000,000+
One of my favorites. The WR marathon attempt will be in a couple of weeks. I always wanted to marathon (or attempt to marathon) a game and I'm actually good enough to do it with this one.
Donkey Kong - PB Shit Goal is Shit+
Got burned out on this one a while ago. I will get back to DK later down the road. Still want to hit that 1mil. Also looking for a NH KS.

I'm not certain if it is Namco or not.
I'm using the Bosconian (New Version) for MAME. Settings at 3 man start 20k 70k 70k which I believe is the TG marathon settings.
Hoping to get good enough to KS this one, if it has a KS.

Yer, that's the Namco version and I suspect you shall be able to marathon it, it does not have a kill screen. This set differentiates itself from the Midway set because the alert stays green much longer than the Midway set does. Midway (new version) is what you'll find in the cabinets (at least every single one I've ever played).

So I did manage to get a few games of Moon Patrol in over the weekend. My PB is 103,410 so far.
Not sure if that is decent or not but I still got a long way to go on this one. I'm having a little trouble finishing the first championship course. I just need to practice, practice, practice.......
Awesome news, just got the EA cab in my house and played a few games. Not so awesome news is that the game froze and reset around building 4. I have no idea what caused that but I was on an epic game of 60K+ and no deaths (which is awesome for me). I'm hoping to get that fixed asap.
Not much else going on. I'll be heading to the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta this up coming weekend. Hope to see some of you there.

Were you mid-jump when it happened? This seems to be a bug in the game, I've had it done to me in really horrible spots (100k no deaths, etc) and sometimes on L1 just starting a game. Some type of input + jump seems to cause it to happen every so often. This is why I killed my submitted game to TG off with 2 men left because the score was semi-blurry during gameplay and I was afraid of the reset bug invalidating the score before I had a chance to focus in on it. I don't play it in MAME so I'm not sure if it happens there too, but it's happened on every machine I've ever played on. Enjoy <popcorn>

I have never had that happen on MAME before. I believe it was a certain input that caused it. And yes I was in mid jump. I'll be doing some more testing after Atlanta. Also I was on building 5, not 4.
Hopefully this doesn't happen all the time. You never know!!!!!! :) :) :)

From the multitude of games I've probably winced through over the years, my testing seemed to have concluded that the input is likely related to a jump followed very quickly by a reverse direction attempt to fire. Hence why the majority of them will happen in the later levels when that type of move attempt is more necessary. It doesn't happen all the time, but at the most inopportune usually.

I thought I might give this an update since it has been a while.......
I set a new PB on Moon Patrol of 173,210. Not too bad but I feel I can do much better.
The big news is............ I finally busted out a marathon over the weekend. I ended up playing 31 hours 40 minutes and played more than 2700 boards to beat the Kicker WR. I stopped at 50,000,000. Not too shabby for a first marathon but I'm planning on a 60+ hour for next time. I got to reach that 100,000,000 mark.
Now its time to relax and play some IGB.....

Well shit......
Not much to update lately. Just been grinding away for the IGBY.
I did manage to set a new PB for Moon Patrol of 223,890. I'm pretty confident in the course layouts but the game fking cheats hard lol. I'm going to keep grinding away to my ultimate goal of 1 million Kappa or maybe just something close to that. I'd be happy to break 300K right now.
Getting hyped for some DK action so hopefully here soon I'll stream some real attempts.

Spent some time playing a few random games last night. For some reason I really enjoy Road Fighter....... FailFish I know...
I think I'll spend some time on this one. I ended up with a PB and a 2nd place spot on MARP with a 1.2 million+ score. I feel I can top the 1,437,000 soon.
I also put some time in on CK Alternate levels and didn't do too bad. Again, since I enjoy this one, I'll spend some more time on it. I seem to be having some problems with the later spring stages. The rest of the boards are not that bad. I set a new PB on that as well with a 123K+. I will KS this bitch soon...I can feel it.
This weekend I head to the arcade to hit up some MP, Food Fight, and Kickman.

It's been a while since my last update and....... I really haven't done shit FailFish lo.
I've have been working on Food Fight though and finally broke the 200K barrier. Ended my last game with a 233,900. I'm happy with that for now but I have moved my goal to 500K.
Also I will be playing a lot of Robotron and Fix it Felix Jr. as they will be a part of my local arcade as of this weekend!!!! All I need to do is get the owner (Cary) to pick up a Bosconian and a Dark Tower Kreygasm
I do need to get off my ass and finish streaming Thousand Arms for the PS so I can have some free time to start on FF13. Between my local arcade and Steam, I'll have plenty of games to keep me busy for a long while.

FF13 Kreygasm oh yer love it mate, great game and it looks superb on PC at 60FPS. Hopefully they come out with a patch for 1080p res, its locked at 720p at the moment. That would be Kreygasm Kreygasm

I played a bit of Galaga <FF> today FailFish FailFish I didn't get a chance to set everything up to record, but I did at least stream it. After 2 long hours, I finally ended it with a new arcade WR of 3,744,860. I plan to head back in a couple of weeks and do it right with a score over 10 million.
The good news is that I got to play a few games of Robotron and scored a PB of 870K. I'm hoping to break a million soon and then maybe (with tons of practice) marathon it someday. I also have to set some time aside for Sinistar and Fix it Felix Jr.

I'm throwing my hat in the SR ring Kreygasm Kreygasm
I'm really excited to get started on Zelda ALttP. There are a few things I still need to get before I officially start running. Right now I'm just getting familiar with the game again since it's been years and years since I last played.
I'm picking up the SNES this weekend and then ordering a game saver and Dazzle to stream. It might be a little while before I get a japanese 1.0 version of the cart so I plan on just using emulation to practice. Also will be ordering some of the japanese SNES controllers. Then all that is left is some Y connectors and I think that should be it.
I have a feeling that this is just the first game of many. Also, I wanted to thank Phil, Glen, Jeremy, and Ben for the help in tracking down what I needed.

It's been a little while since I last posted here. Nothing major to update. I did manage to up my PB for Robotron to 955K.
Since I'm out of retirement for the BEAtdown, I'll be putting in some serious time on the classics. Right now I'm looking to purchase a DK cab as well as an Intrepid cab. Got a good lead on an Intrepid for sale and waiting for a replay Kreygasm Kreygasm
I do miss playing DK and plan on getting back into it full swing and complete my goals of 1 mil+ and a NH KS. Wait and see :) :) :)
Planning to do a mini marathon on Gradius in June with my cobba Glen (who will be also doing a marathon). Still getting things set up and so far everything is looking good.
Don't forget to join the BEAtdown and help out DWB...an awesome cause!!!

I figured it's time for an update,
Finally met my goal for EA of 100,850. Now it's time to push this even farther. Next goal is 125k Kreygasm
Recently got hooked on Toobin and I'll be playing the shit out of this one!!! Lit!!! So far my PB is 1,939,614. I'll be pushing this one up very soon.
I finally received my Intrepid PCB and in the process of cleaning it. This will be as good as new when I'm done. I also have a Galaga and Kangaroo board on its way Kreygasm
So far enjoying the Yolympics and can't wait for the next tourney.

It's been a while since my last update so here we go.....
I've got a DK board inbound so I'm ready to start grinding away at that. I need to spend some more time practicing grouping barrels and such since I'm having trouble with that. Hope to increase my PB this year.
I did purchased a Crazy Kong board and already have received one adapter needed to get that up and running. I hope to get the other one in this weekend so I can stream a few games and go for that WR Kappa
Great news on the Intrepid board as it is at 99% working and should have that board back sometime soon. The hype is real Kreygasm Kreygasm
Still looking for a Zarya Vostoka board in any condition. I am not giving up on that yet.
In other news......possible Pepper 2 find!!! Kreygasm more to come on that later. I am really enjoy collecting these boards and hope soon to start learning how to fix these as well.

It's been a while since my last post. A lot going on right now but slowing getting back into the groove.
So I've been on a shopping spree lately trying to pick up a few boards that I like. Found some success so far with Road Fighter. Still looking for a Time Pilot and a Scramble board. They seem to pop up more frequently so no problem there. Pepper 2 is still going to be a problem though. Good news is that I'll be able to pick up a DK here in the next couple months which means I'll also have to get into the Remx hype!! Can't wait for that. So that's the update on stuff I want and plan on getting hopefully sometime soon.
Been playing a lot of my favorites lately. I finally beat the Road Fighter arcade WR by almost 300k. Had such a great run with amazing RNG. I'll be continuing to push this even higher shooting for 2 million+. Mr. Jammyyyy is helping me out on the Intrepid front by building me a new adaptor for my other Intrepid board. When that is complete I will be going full force to crush that record as well.
So lots of stuff to get done this year and it will be a challenge with the new expanded family. I would love to squeeze in another Kicker marathon in this year. Guess I'll just have to wait and see 😀

Whtda???
Looks like it's been a few since I last posted here. A lot of additions to my pcb collection. Ended up adding Mercs, Contra, Silk Worm, Super Rider, Pac-Man, Rally-X, Strikers 1945, Jail Break, and Bosconian!!! I've been putting my Scramble cab to good use lol.
I've been spending a lot of time learning how to do general repairs for pcbs. Slowly building up tooling and supplies to keep on hand for common issues. Also I have gotten pretty good at building my own adapters now since I have only one machine to test on. I am on the lookout for a cab with a horizontal monitor. I was looking at using the JROK rotating monitor setup but decided to not screw with the cab.
Well it's a new year and now that I am officially settled in the new home, I can get back to what I love, gaming. Goals haven't changed too much. Still looking to break 1M on DK and that is what I'll start with this year. Just got to sit down and put some time in. Yolympics starting up soon so I'll be in there full force.
There are a few titles I really want to improve on this year. Those would be Moon Patrol, Elevator Action, Galaga, Space Firebird, and Bosconian.
That looks to be all I have for now.

Well, finally managed to complete one of my long term goals.... that 1 million on DK. It has been a rough drought of 6 years!! I was really surprised that it came relatively quick after I started playing again. Just after a few months of knocking off the rust. I had one other close game that ended around 960K due to nerves and stupid mistakes.
Whats next??? I'll be slowly learning how to achieve that 1.1 million. I imagine it will be quite a while but I'm going to keep at it since I'm feeling pretty motivated right now.
On other gaming fronts..... I will definitely be practicing some DK3 (yes DK3) for that trifecta badge. I would also like to put up at least a 1.1 on DK jr. arcade as well. Been playing a ton of console stuff and I have been really enjoying it. The everdrives make it so nice and inexpensive to actually have all these games. I've been really concentrating on the Turbo Graphix 16/PC Engine. Its a great system and I don't see a whole lot of people streaming it. It needs much love (Wags)

Trying to keep this blog from completely drying up Kappa
Been pretty quite from the gaming side of things for a while now but now I will have some free time to start my trek for the 1.1 million DK. I’ve put in a few games and haven’t done too awful. I’ll need a lot of improvement for the barrel boards (mainly transitions) and well.... everything else as well. The last few games I have been hitting 55K to almost 58K per level which is a huge improvement so far.
I’ll definitely be stream more and more but eventually I’ll need to upgrade to a better PC as mine is about to take a shit.
Anyway, I have been working on my 3rd cab so I will hopefully have that up and running so I can play some of my other horizontal pcbs like Rush N Attack, Jail Break, Silk Worm and maybe some Pepper 2 Kreygasm

Finally found some time to really get into this. Rank D is now complete and that was the easy part. I really put in some time with DK3 hard and finally got the Million. So frustrating but so satisfying to complete. I’m really liking DK3 and will keep grinding for a while. I’ll jump back to easy mode and tackle the RBS soon. If I can get there, I’ll refine my play and shoot for BBB.
Rank C inc.....Next on the list is Junior. I’ll be studying some new strats and when I get back into town next week start grinding for the 1.1 which shouldn’t be a problem. I feel like this might take a bit of time though. CK will follow and I see no issue with that requirement.
