Am I just stupid and missing something obvious, or are you not able to see your past personal messages to people after you send them?

If they do disappear from your own sight forever, it'd be nice to have this changed, if possible. Thanks!

Whelp... Look at me... I open my big yap and then I figure out how to fix it 1 minute later.

Under 'change settings' I had yet to select "Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default."

 :P
