2014 IGBY Game Settings

These are (or should be) the ROMsets and default settings used on RetroUprising. Please double-check against this list that you are playing on the "correct" defaults. I know right off the bat that older versions of MAME have different defaults for Bomb Jack and that the "standard" settings for Moon Patrol are different.

All the ROMset names should be equivalent from MAME 0.106 to present, with the exception of Raiden. Players can choose to play the Burnin' Rubber OR Bump 'n Jump versions of that game. If you are playing Splatterhouse or New Rally-X I recommend trying to play those games on the RU site. The ROMsets they use for those games were added in MAME 0.130 and 0.135, respectively, so they are not available in older versions. There ARE older ROMsets for those games, however. PM me if you have any questions.

Thx for the info. Gonna confirm the dips on my 60-1 tonight, I'm pretty sure they are default.

For some reason, Rally X runs in cocktail mode on the 60-1. I don't think I can adjust it without adjust the orientation for the whole machine. Hopefully that's not as deal breaker. I'm probably going to start with Rally X and Mr.Do.

Why is Bomb Jack the only game not set to default settings?  Too easy to marathon or something?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see this is just a MAME thing.  I'm using 106, which has different defaults than RU's 135.

Some of them are, yes.  Just make sure your dips match the settings Jeremy listed above.

there seems to be an issue with do do run dip switch regarding lives set it to 3 and you still get 5

There are different "normal" settings in different arcade manuals, so this probably contributed to different defaults in different MAME versions.
