A sadly predictable prediction for this decade

OK, here it is.  Someone will come along and proclaim how they will revolutionize the classic arcade gaming hobby.  How the hobby will be making a lot of money, and how we will be on talk shows or something like that.  Then here's the kicker.  The person who gives these wild eye ideas never comes through with anything, and all we are left with are empty promises.
It hasn't happened yet, but it will.  I'm almost certain of it.

Yep. He's just one person. There were a couple new owners of TG that made bold claims as well. So at least 3 in total happened.

I mean, my goal playing games was never to make money or get famous anyway. It seems like yours was looking at your threads. Gaming to me, was always about fun, I wanted to do my best, but that was the extent of it.

Well, to be honest, over the years I have gotten way more fame than I desired or deserved. I have also accomplished some things in the hobby that were beyond my imagination that I could actually accomplish.  I also earned the respect of my peers for my gaming abilities in certain games.
I'm beyond happy and content with how it all turned out.  8)
So I've had my time in the sun, and I hope that everyone that puts in the time gets their time in the spotlight.
I hope you get your time as well one day Creech.  :)

Hey man,  kudos to you, but I'm not looking for my time, I just knew what you meant by peoples unfulfilled promises. I've been through enough in my life where I've made it in my life, I'm sure you have as well, you are the Dk3 record holder okay, I get it, you know what I mean man. Be a champ

Well, I've heard it all.  From sponsorship, to being made a bitcoin, to a big money circuit.
All were revolutionary ideas. All of which didn't come true.

The only real thing was the huge Galaga tourney that happened one year.
