It doesn't matter.  I'm the Dean Saglio of Donkey Kong 3.  Meaning that others may very well pass me up, but I literally transformed the way the game is played.  I transformed people's ideas of what is possible for the game.
Sides I already achieved what I set out to do.  Bring the score high enough where the record gets some level of respect.  Bring it to a point where whoever breaks the record will have it as a crown jewel in their gaming achievements.
By doing so I brought a certain level of respect to the game.  All I wanted was to make the next record holder feel like they really fought hard to earn the record.  By so doing I made sure that the next person respected the game.
I achieved what I set out to do.  I have no complaints.

From the day I got the record I felt my score, and eventually scores would be beaten.  The only thing I had control over was how hard a person would have to work in order to beat the record.
That's what drove me.  I never intended my score to be thought of as unbeatable.  Only super hard to beat.  To compete against the unseen person in the future is what drove me to the next level.

Dean transformed the way that a HIGHLY competitive game was played (along with the help of Rossy, I love my Rossy no homeos  ), a game that was already the measuring-bar in CAG at the time..  Then he held that spot, atop the most competitive leaderboard, while hundreds of people tried to top it, for like 10 years.  Oh, and he has a very strong sense of humility; You're no Dean.

I'm talking proportionally, and not value.  Agreed, Dean is 100 times more valuable than me to the community.  That's because Donkey Kong is 100 times more popular, and yes, way more competitive.
I guess I could have been more clear, and said when it comes to Donkey Kong 3 I'm the poor man's Dean Saglio.
So it's just in proportion.   Sort of like how a 45 degree angle is still a 45 degree angle no matter if the room is 100 square feet or 10,000 square feet.
