Ha, Keith "Mr. Voiceover" David as Keith the Quarter Collector...
-
Wow, great find.
If Brandon only knew about grouping and rejumping, having freezers block you on the Pie Factory stage at the right moving ladder, the star pattern on Rivets...he would realize that you actually move "down" quite a bit in this game. Come on Brandon.
Maybe he should stick to hopscotch or Shutes & Ladders...
I thought it would be funny if Mr. Rogers said, "So, does the board in this machine have original ROMs with original stickers on them? Do you mind if I see?"
-
LMFAO.
Now I'm playing that out in my mind's eye. Keep everything as it was up until Keith puts the panel back on, and then suddenly have Mr. Rogers go full Mruczek, asking in his gentle tones whether the joystick is a TKG-23-50 with a four-way restrictor plate, if the power supply is PP-7A or PP-7B, etc. etc.
"Oh! Brandon, this is a nice machine, but it has a 4-board stack and is running an unpatched TKG3 romset. And we don't like that. Twin Galaxies doesn't like that."
-
Haha, Thats good!
Hey!, whats that "Gummy substance" doing on that boardset? :P

Yeah, that's a cool video to see, it's actually been on CAGDC home page for many years.
I know CAGDC has been tight about members, but maybe you can still see the media page, it hasn't been updated in a while though.

Another thing, Brandon was pretty selfish. Mr. Rogers asked him nicely if he could try, yet Brandon wouldn't move out of the way...he kept playing...even when Mr. Rogers tried putting his hands on the control panel.
So the video ends with Mr. Rogers telling Brandon that his Dad is back, and he better go. What the cameras didn't catch is what happens after that...it's Mr. Rogers turn.
The camera pans in, and we see Mr. Rogers playing the game, jumping barrels, climbing ladders...pan out and there's a big problem...Mr. Rogers is smoking...and his cigarette is melting a cigarette burn into the face of the controll panel!
Kieth walks back in and interrupts Mr. Rogers.
"You know, "Fred", not only is cigarette smoke bad for your health...but you are damaging the machine the way you're letting your cigarette rest on top of the control panel..."
The camera pans and zooms in on the melted plastic. Mr. Rogers picks up the cigarette, the camera zooms out, he takes a hit, and blows smoke in Kieth's face and says is his most polite voice, "Well Kieth, the arcade owner said I could play as much as I like, for free...and there aren't any more quarters in the machine for you to collect...so why don't you run along now...ok?"

Opening the control panel and showing it's a four way is only like 1/100 of the DK recording rules. Brandon has to do a lot more than that if he wants to record a serious score.

Brandon (at 3:27): "Down's not really used in this game."
Uh huh. Hey kid, what kind of God-awful rivet pattern are you using?

Mr. Rogers was also a fan of Donkey Kong and Pac-Man cereal
