On September 30th, I had a breakthrough game and scored my current PB of 1,099,500. While this was a great accomplishment, the circumstances under which it was earned were crushing.
As I entered L21 with a man in reserve, this happened on 21-4:

Since then, attempting to correct the mistake, I've had 12 games at 1.1 pace with scores over 900k. Each of them have ended tragically, the most notable being when I hit 970k on a single man only to immediately lose all four:

These two games have tormented me every day for quite a while, and I've decided it's finally time to put this thing to rest.
On Monday Dec 22nd, I will start a three week vacation from work that ends at the conclusion of DKO6 on Jan 11th. DK 1.1 will become my new job, and I will be streaming 8 hours almost every day until I finally lock down the score. Because my control panel is broken, on the first day I'll be playing on MAME. I will be receiving a new control panel that night and be playing every day going forward on my cabinet.

As above, good luck sir! With your recent games and pace it's pretty obvious it's not going to be long before you get there.

I'm happy you're making these YOLO attempts official. I will definitely watch a lot of your stream for the next 3 weeks (considering that I pretty much never work these days, I'll pretty much always have the time to watch you).
And if you hit 1.1m sooner within the three weeks, please don't stop, and aim for higher. Try as hard as you mentally can! I'll definitely be there cheering for you Kreygasm

Sounds like how I was this past summer when I wasn't working a lot and having nearly 20 games over 800k at WR pace tragically end. And two games failing on the final board. That drove me crazy for the longest time and I eventually did the same thing offline playing almost 8 hours a day. I wish the best of luck to you on this I have no doubt you will get there since you want it so badly.

Wes, trust me, you don't wanna be in the same situation as me. I was the first person to miserably fail at getting the record, and I did the mistake of not trying to get it again and now I have to live miserably for the rest of my life with the fact that I failed at getting the record. I'm like Jesus, I suffered for you so you don't have to follow the same mistakes as I did! Kappa
Joke aside, I know it's hard to keep playing when you fail a lot, I know what it feels to be unmovativated. But I'll personally make sure to watch every of your stream to help you with motivation. I definitely consider you as a great friend, and as a friend, I want you to succeed at what you want to succeed, and I know that getting 1.12m means a lot to you. If it means a lot to you, it also means a lot to me, so I'll do my best to make sure you achieve your goal ;-)

Thanks everyone for joining me on my journey up to this point. My cabinet has been under repair for quite a while... first I needed to get my control panel perfect and then my monitor had an unforeseen crazy issue.
With that in mind, I've been told my cabinet will be in playable condition some time tomorrow and, barring something unexpected, arcade world record attempts will begin on either Monday or Tuesday.
