Title: KoK in "50 Documentaries to See Before You Die" back in 2011
Post by: marinomitch13 on December 21, 2013, 12:10:19 pm
Wow, I never knew about this! I was looking on IMDB and I saw that Billy Mitchell was listed as an actor in this show, so I searched around the web and found out that King of Kong was featured in the very first episode entitled "Life after Donkey Kong". Had anyone else heard about this? I had never even caught wind of this show's existence.

Anyway, here is a link I found to where you can watch the show for free online (the KoK section is the last of the 10 documentaries highlighted in this episode):

Crazy. That was great.

In fact, I think I'm gonna throw that segment up on YouTube.

After I watched it all the way through, I realized I actually had encountered an allusion of this shows existence (no matter how subtle it was at the time): The thing that I once saw on the internet (I think it was the wikipedia page for KoK a couple years back) I recall referencing this show in saying that Billy Mitchell had claimed to never seen the KoK. Once Billy explicitly said "I've actually never seen it (KoK)," I was able to put two and two together.  :)

Please share the YT link here once you've got it up, Chris! Thanks.
