Skip to 1.24.21 when he gets to rebirth. Please someone explain to me how several times he doesn't have the controller in either hand and yet the pieces are moving ?

I watched it. Can you point out exactly where? Everything seems good to me from what I watched.

At 1.21.44.  After the T piece the next piece after he drops controller on the floor. It starts moving on its own. Spinning then moving one space . The other time 3 pieces later I thought same thing. But he very quickly I think right before standing up grabbed controller and moved it.
  The only thing I can think of with the other piece is maybe he was touching controller with his foot  ?  Which is weird but I guess is possible ?

I don't see why you couldn't tap with your toes to successfully play level 0.

It needs to be said that this is the modified cartridge, and not the actual original NES cart.
The modified cartridge doesn't crash.  Much easier
